    As the agency overseeing construction of the Ariane 6 launch pad at the Guiana Space Centre (CSG), CNES has selected German firm MT Aerospace based in Augsburg to build the launch table for the vehicle as well as the umbilical mast to support the cryogenic arms.

    The decisions taken on 2 December 2014 at the meeting of the European Space Agency (ESA) Council at ministerial level to give spacefaring Europe the launchers it needs to meet the challenges ahead were formally enshrined Wednesday 12 August. Three contracts were signed for a total of €3.4 billion, concerning development of Ariane 6 and its new launch complex, for which CNES is prime contractor, and development of Vega-C.

    Les décisions prises le 2 décembre 2014 lors de la réunion au niveau ministériel du Conseil de l’Agence spatiale européenne (ESA), pour doter l’Europe des lanceurs lui permettant de faire face aux défis des prochaines années, ont été formalisées le mercredi 12 août. Trois contrats ont été signés, d’un montant global de 3,4 milliards d’euros, portant sur le développement d’Ariane 6 et de son ensemble de lancement, dont le CNES est maître d’œuvre, ainsi que sur le développement de Vega-C.
