    L’ATV (Véhicule Automatique de Transfert ou Automated Transfer Vehicle), le cargo ravitailleur européen, effectue son dernier voyage vers la Station Spatiale Internationale (ISS). Depuis 2008, ce vaisseau mène ses missions avec succès : approvisionner l’ISS et maintenir son altitude.

    Soyuz is operated from the Guiana Space Centre, Europe’s spaceport. Like Ariane and Vega, launcher elements are shipped to Kourou in containers aboard the MN Toucan and MN Colibri. The only difference is their departure point, from Saint Petersburg in Russia. A Soyuz launch campaign lasts one to two months. Each phase is described below.

  10. Cryosat-2 ready to embark on ice mission

    ESA’s Cryosat-2 satellite is set to embark on its mission above Earth’s poles on 25 February. With its altimeter, aided by the DORIS instrument, it will monitor variations in ice elevation and thickness with millimetre accuracy.
